I am trying to trace a John Chessell in 1841 census for Manchester.Probably lived in Beswick or Ancoates near River Medlock. John was born 1802 in Nottingham or Wellington Shropshire and he could have been described as a mechanic or engineer.
Please if anyone has access to the 1841 directory could they look for me.
