Jessy is definitely Jessy. She came to the States with 2 sister and her parents. She appears as Jessy (or Jessie) in not only the 1861 UK census, but also 4 times in the US census, as well as her death certificate and obituary, and her niece, my g grandmother, is named Jessie. Nope, she's definitely Jessie!

OK, last question. Where do I write to get the certificates for the births you found (Mary Ann and William)?

Thanks,

Shaun
