Found an old email from a kind researcher in England who checked the pre-1846 Baptismal records in Lincolnshire: Benjamin Parker, son of Thomas and Elizabeth, Bap. 23 Nov 1817 in Friskney. That's the only Benjamin around the year requested. There is William Parker, son of Thomas and Elizabeth, Bap. 13 April 1814, in Friskney. Henry Parker, son of Thomas and Elizabeth, Bap. 3 Jan 1832 in Friskney. Marriage record in Lincolnshire: Thomas Parker married Elizabeth Cook 12 Nov 1812 in Friskney. Perhaps their other children were Baptized elsewhere. I'm sure there was one more Baptism record I found at IGI for a Parker in Friskney, maybe Sarah or Eliza. This record is found in Oakland County, Michigan, USA: Oakland County Probate Records: File # 2527 Parker, Thomas. Will, dated 17 Mar. 1864, filed 27 Apr. 1867, died 13 Apr 1867. Heirs: Elizabeth Parker, widow; children: Benjamin Parker, Henry Parker, Thomas Parker, Eliza Squiers, John Parker, dec'd., William Parker (not heard of for 23 years). Exec.:Elizabeth Parker. Witnesses to Will: Junius Ten Eyck, George W. Brock. Property in Royal Oak Twp. These are naturalizations in Oakland County, Michigan: (year is date of application or approval, not year of immigration.) (Does anyone know the minimum age for making an Alien Declaration in that era?)I wondered if the date could be date of the Declaration, and not necessarily date of arrival. Did foreigners have to make this declaration immediately? Parkers in Royal Oak Twp., Oakland County, Michigan. There are 4 Parker families from England: Benjamin (b. 1818) and Mary (related to me) Thomas (b. 1798) & Elizabeth (related to me) Jarvis (b. 1810) & Angeline Francis (b. 1817) & Julianne Also an Eliza (b. 1831) married Rufus Squires (related to me) SHIP St. Laurance Liverpool to New York: Thomas Parker age 45 Date of arrival May 23, 1838 Mrs. Parker age 50 Benjamin age 21 (1900 census of Michigan shows year of immigration as 1838) Mary age 18 Sarah age 17 Susanna age 16 Thomas age 13 Eliza age 8 (married Squires) Henry age 7 If you can relate to any of this info, let me know. I'm determined to identify all my Parkers and their descendants in Oakland County and Sanilac County, Michigan, and elsewhere. I believe our Parkers came from Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, and immigrated in different years, perhaps some traveling alone. Perhaps as early as 1800 and to 1843 or even later. Since more than one of my related surnames originate in Friskney, Linc. Eng, it's been interesting to find Parker there as well. I'd like contact with any Parker (of Michigan) descendant.
