Thanks for your reply - yes I think I have exhausted all the obvious places but thought/hoped someone might have indexed records in Lincoln as they have in other areas. 1837 online has serious drawbacks for a lot of us refer to John Neave on the England forum. Mainly to do with having the right software to download onto the rught machine. And the fact that EVERYONE is aiming for 1 April shades of the 1901 census and crashes of the system?????
