I am looking for information on George Coulby Thistlewood b. 1 Nov 1855 (probably in Lincolnshire) and his family. He moved to the US when he was 16 or 18 and settled in GA where he married Virginia Bryan. His parents were William Thistlewood and Elizabeth Coulby. From old family letters I have been able to piece together the following. He had a sister Elizabeth who married a Strawson. She had six girls and one boy. The oldest, Faith, had a daughter, Becky. The next oldest was George. Two other daughters were Doris who married J W Bett and had three daughters and Grace who had a daughter Betty. Doris was born around 1899. A 1979 letter from Doris mentions that Faith's daughter, Becky, was interested in tracing her family tree. I also have aletter from a cousin Amy M Cato. I don't know who she is exactly. She had three sons. Leslie married Kathleen. They lived in Africa for a while but by 1968 had bought a house in Lincolnshire. Son Ronald and his wife Betty were living in Africa in 1968 and had a son John and a daughter Anne who were both in school in England. Her son Tony was killed in "the last war", probably WWII. Ihope some one can help with this. I would love to find living English cousins so we can trade information.
