In the 1861 Census of the Boston,Lincoln England Workhouse, Elizabeth Waite age 26 yr and daughter, Louisa Waite age 3 yr. was listed. Shortly after this Elizabeth's sister, Mary Ann Sinclair took care of Louisa until she was able to work for herself. Elizabeth and Louisa had to stay in the workhouse until the cost of their confinement was paid for.
Another sis ter of Elizabeth and Mary Ann had a child in the Union Workhouse, Shirbeck Road, Boston England. She was Isabella Waite. She gave birth to Henry Edward Waite, July 11, 1853.
The Waite ladies are related to me also.
