I have been informed of an excellent web site: http://www.red1st.com/ Your welcome to view our tree at www.Red1st.com where we have 75,000 individuals with their roots in The Isle of Axholme, straddling North Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire, England, using information and pictures provided by hundreds of other like minded people. Everything we have is up there for you to browse pedigree and timeline charts, check out relationships between people, and contribute in our discussion forums. This ambitious collaborative project aims to trace and link people with a connection to the region no matter how distant they were or now may be. 95% of the people in our tree link by blood or marriage, some are "loose" while we search for that link. If you believe we match, it would be terrific if you would join us to add and edit entries, add photographs, import and export ged files and become part of our community. We have some great connections in our tree, and we think it should be made public for more people to run with and continue building. We will also help you develop your own tree and your own genealogy skills. As well as keeping your own private tree, help us create a tree that we can grow together and magnifying the efforts of everyone to piece together the past. Each of us can contribute our own piece of family knowledge showing sufficient respect to privacy, and we appreciate the dedication of many researchers who put in years of effort, which is now discoverable in minutes on the Internet. We are indebted to these pioneers for accelerating and benefited the rest of us, because we all stand on the shoulders of those who went before us. We think we have given you all the help and tools necessary to contribute. If we have not, please let us know. This is a FREE project so please help our site Administrators by adding and editing the data yourself wherever possible. We hope you and your extended family will enjoy our tree, so do please pass word around to all of its existence If we have details of family members in our tree that we should not please ask us to edit or remove them and please let us know if you do not wish to be reminded about our website.
