English pronunciation question
Posted by: Phillip Barr (ID *****5489) Date: May 09, 2007 at 09:08:39
  of 1823

Could the names Willingham and Winningham have sounded alike in 1600 and 1700's? In Virginia in that time period, the names seemed to be used for each other fairly often.

Does one sound like the other? (considering the English accent in that time period)

thanks
Phillip
