The names I am researching from Leicestershire are these: Richard JARRATT, was bap. Rothley, 1725, son of George JARRATT and Ann MARTIAL. He married Constance ? , of Mountsorrel, May 10, 1751. Their children included Constance and Thomas, bap. April 15, 1752. Thomas JARRATT m. Ann OLDHAM, Mountsorrel, Barrow, Nov. 17, 1774. (Ann was born in 1757, daughter of William and Ann OLDHAM of Barkby.) Their son Richard JARRATT was bap. October 2, 1775, in Mountsorrel, Barrow. He became an iron-founder. He married Ann GLOVER, June 28, 1802, Newton Linford. (Ann was likely the daughter of Thomas and Ann GLOVER, bap. April 1779, Mountsorrel.) Their daughter Elizabeth was born at Newton Linford May 8, 1805, but was not baptized until July 10, 1823, in Leicester, at a Wesleyan Chapel. Elizabeth JARRATT married Samuel KING October 20, 1824, in Leicester. (Samuel KING was an iron-monger, born in London in 1799.) They lived in Grantham, Lincolnshire, and had seventeen children, of whom eleven lived to adulthood. They retired to Bradford, Lancashire, lived to celebrate their 60th anniversary in 1884, and died a few years later. Is anyone else researching these lines? I'm happy to exchange further information. --Jane Elderfield. Notify Administrator about this message?
