James Boyce b abt 1821 Prestleigh, Somerset, England md Sarah Ann Jaques b 1831 Market Bosworth, Leicestershire,England. The 1871 census shows him as occ Felter Carrier. Does anyone know what that occupation is?
They had children, Albert JJ b abt 1863
Arthur J b abt 1865 and Gertrude M b abt 1867 all b at West Ham, Essex, England
By the 1891 census James Boyce is listed as a Pensioner.
1901 census Sarah Ann is a widow and dau Gertrude, unmarried is living with her. There is listed William H Boyce 19, adopted son, and Maude Thorn, 14 adopted dau. These would be listed by relationship to the head of the family Sarah Ann.
Does this info ring a bell with anyone out there???
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
