Found on the IGI
Edward Pile c30 Oct 1788 Basingstoke parents Edward and Sarah Pile.
Edward Pile c13 Jan 1790 Basingstoke parents Edward and Sarah Pile.
I assume the first Edward must have died as an infant it was not uncommon to keep the name going until one survived.
I know these are not your dates but may be some connection.
