Jesse Derdle's father was George Derdle.
On Jesse Derdles marriage certificate to Mary Elizabeth Philpot in Whitehaven Cumbria, Cumberland England 13th Oct 1868. Lists both Jesse & his Father George as Blacksmiths.
However it states Jesse was living at the time of his marriage to Mary, in Bantry, County Cork, Ireland.
Mary's Father Thomas Philpot was a Mariner.
I can't locate anything further on George Derdle.
I have no date or place of birth, nor who Jesse's Mother was.
Can anyone shed any further light on this?
