I have Elizabeth Boyt (1852-1898), my great grandmother, and her parents Reuben Boyt (b. ca. 1814 Sturminster) and Amelia Monckton (b. 1821 Wimborne Minster) married 31 Dec 1839 at Sturminster Marshall and Amelia's parents William Monkton(sp.?) (b. ca 1788 maybe Wimborne Minster - d. 1860) and Ann ?? (1796? - 1841)

Any further information on those individuals or their families most gratefully received. Would love to make connection with any descendants with an interest in genealogy.

Just wish I'd known about this part of the family before we visited UK a few months ago. Father's mother's family has Sherborne links and we loved seeing that beautiful town, now I learn mother's father's family has all these links to Stour valley region, Damn!

Huigh, Canberra
