I am seeking any male Allens who live in Dorset or have male Allen ancestors who lived in Dorset at one time.
I am also seeking male Allen descendents of one Anthony Allen b. 1577 in Dorchester, Dorset md. Hester Squire. Supposed son: Ephriam John Allen (1602-1651). Information on this family was found on familysearch.org with no documentation, so it may be erroneous.

Several of us have matched with each other and trace ourselves back to 1600-1700 New Jersey, USA. (See our group on the results chart: I Haplogroup, subgroup e) One of our matches says he may go back to Anthony Allen in Dorsetshire (mentioned above). If that is true, we would all be originally from Dorset and that would be a huge breakthrough in our research.
So we need some Dorset Allens to step forward and help us out! DNA testing can separate out lines for you and confirm or deny common lineage. It can also (as in our case) bring together new matches in new geographical locations to help further pinpoint where your family may have originated.
