Looked at the Dorset OPC site for Broadwindsor

although no baptisms on there as yet... there is a marriage for a Henry SPURDLE & Elizabeth BARRETT married 08-Jul 1772. Could that be the parents of your Robert? (Noticed in your posting history the spelling variations).

Also.. the surname of the OPC for Broadwindsor is Spurle... wonder it there is a connection?
