Yes, my ancestor Mary (Price) Pennington (abt. 1772 - 1859) was a daughter of Edmund Price and Jane Webb. William Price of Sincoe, Ontario, reported promising leads on the parentage of Edmund Price in Generations, the journal of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society, spring 2003, page 21. He found these items in New York City records: * 1736 Feb. 23: John Price married Mary Cross. (New York marriage records, marriage book vol. 1, p. 5) * 1763 Apr. 7: Administration on the will of John Price was granted. * 1765 Oct. 17: Mary Price married Allan McDougall. (New York marriage book IX, p. 305) Allan McDougall and his family had come to America in 1738 from Scotland. Apparently he was widowed and married John Price's widow Mary. Mary's son Edmund named a son, Allen McDugall Price, born in about 1764, after Edmund's stepfather. I found a couple of items that might be of interest: * Personen met Licentie Anno 1737. Februar 23; John Prise & Maris Cros; Febr. 27. From: New Amsterdam/New York Reformed Dutch Church Marriages, <olivetreegenealogy.com/nn/church/rdcmarr1737.shtml>. Source: The New York Genealogical and Biographical Record, published 1890 and 1940. The transcription of the marriage above gives the year as 1737, rather than 1736. * Anno 1738, Jan 8; John Price, Maria Cros; Antje; Barent Bosch, Aafje Bruyn, z.h.v. From: New Amsterdam/New York Reformed Dutch Church Baptisms, <http://olivetreegenealogy.com/nn/church/rdc_bp1738.shtml> I think that indicates that the child’s name was Antje and the witnesses or sponsors were Barent Bosch and Aafje Bruyn.
