Kia Ora I have researched the families of my great grandparents who left Birmingham in 1878. I would love to contact anyone who has knowledge of any sort of the following families to get some up to date stories of the lives of these people! Charlotte COX (Newton Bromswold) married Amos FAIREY (Yelden Beds) in 1844. Charlotte died 1896 in Derby. Their children were as follows: 1. Mary Ann FAIREY married George HILLS. Their children (all born in Irchester) were Harry 1871, Rose Hannah 1872, Janet 1873 and Bertha 1876. These children married WHITEMAN, COOLING, COLE & FOX in Derby. 2. Rebecca FAIREY married George CAMPTON a soldier with the 4th Lancs. Their children were Agnes born 1876 Gibraltar, Charlotte 1882 born Stoke Dameral, and 2 sons named Owen Randall who died in infancy. The daughters married SMITH & LOWE, both in Derby. 3. Owen FAIREY married Elizabeth HEWETT in Tilbrook. They had one daughter Brenda Annie 1879. 4. Evangeline FAIREY married John FURR (probably in Irchester) and had (probably at least) 11 children the first 3 in Irchester and the rest in Derby. The only marriages I have so far are to LESTER & SHARDLOW. 5. Leaanna FAIREY also married a Private in the 4th Lancs John A. ADAMTHWAITE. Their children were Lucy, John A, Florence E & Lionel Willie. Various researchers in England, Australia and New Zealand are hoping for contact with someone connected to any of the above or any kind local who could give us further information. The addresses we have are as follows; 1891 Nild St Derby 1901 169 Brook St Derby 1895 160 Parliament St Derby 1901 253 Nottingham Rd Derby 1903 Brough St Derby Marriages at St Lukes & St Barnabas so far!
