Thanks for your kind offer, if you get the chance I'd appreciate info on any of the following.

All I know about MARGARET HALL is that she married William Hocking 30 October 1774 possibly at Mevagissey. This would mean that she was born c1750-55. I notice that there are records for others from associated families around Fowey Cornwall (must be close to Mevagissey). Perhaps this area is also worth a try?

I'll give you the other info I have on other lines just in case you come across anything.

Children of Wm Hocking and Margaret Hall
William born 1780 bap 19 Aug 1781 Mevagissey died after 1841 married Elizabeth Ross (Rofs - spelling?)30 Dec 1810 Mevagissey. Elizabeth born c1797 in Fowey Cornwall died 26 July 1846 Mevagissey

Chdrn of Wm and Elizabeth Ross/Rofs
Wm born 1819 Mevagissey died after 1891 Mevagissey married 26 Oct 1842 Mevagissey a Sally Andrews born 1821 in Illogan or Kiariage died 1881 Mevagissey.

Chrn of Wm and Sally
John bap 1851 Mevagissey married Amelia Miners c 1896.

Note: there was also a Melchesideck Hocking bap 1817 and another bap 1849. I mention these as this is such a distinctive name.

I have also read that there were quite a few Jews who came to Cornwall to work in the mines - do you know anything about this?

Once again thanks, anything you think might be of interest would be appreciated

Kindest regards
