Bob, Some time ago you replied to my posting re Engish Family and I posted the following message back, but have not heard from you again. As I feel there might be a real connection (my grandmother's maiden name having been Engisch), I would really like to hear from you by e-mail or phone. My number is (909) 984-8745 (We have an answer machine on our phone as we screen all incoming calls. You must identify yourself before we pick up[ the phone) . Please leave a message with your phone number if I am not at home when you call. Or, a reply to my e-mail address: TheDarland@Yahoo.com
Yes, I do have a genuine interest in your lineage records. If your branch of the Engish Family were from Germany and if a member of that family named Ernst Engish (b. about 1854 - d. 1939) he came to America in about 1887, then we are probably related. My records show Ernst living in West Prussia before coming to America - that is where my grandmother was born - they immigrated to America when she was three years old.
I would be so grateful if there is a relationship here and if you would be kind enough to share it with me. My daughter married a German and immigrated back to Germany in 1998. She is also interested in tracing the family tree and possibly making contact with any relatives still in Germany at some future time.
Thanks again for your reply - hope to hear from you again soon. Please reply directly to my e-mail address TheDarland@Yahoo.com if you wish to copy the lineage records you have and mail them to me, let me know and I will give you my address and also phone number if you like.
