Sharon. This name of " Engelbert " came about as being the maiden name of Hannah (nmi) " Engelbert " who married Matthew (nmi) Floch, they are listed as being the parent's of Fayette Solome Floch who married Andrew J Betts on Dec 23, 1841 in (PA) and I think this was in Mercer County (PA), have no DOB for Hannah or Matthew, it is noted that Matthew was a German Farmer and was residing near Meadville (PA) at this time.it is also noted that Matthew was a Revolutionary War Hero. Hannah may have had Brother's in the same War so that might be a thing for you to look into if possible, from this era & (PA) they "Engelberts" could very well have moved on Westward. Hope this will be of some help & interest to you.
