Johan Peter Engels and brother Peter Engels came to America in 1952 on different ships from France. Their family earlier came from Solingen, Germany. They were sword makers.
The German family name is Engels. But in America it has taken the name of Engle, Ingle, Engel or Engels and Engles.
I find it strange that there is no Engels surname forum!
