Peter Engel b. Jan. 7th, 1819 Sandwendel, Germany. Settled in Livingston Co.,NY on April 1st, 1868. Served three years in the German Army before coming to America, worked first near Philadelphia, moved to Steube Co.,NY in 1848. His wife was Barbara Mark b. May 4th, 1824 Sandwendel,Germany. They were married Jan. 9th, 1852. Eight Children:

3.John P. Engel
4.Frank Engel
5.Elizabeth (Twin w/Frank)
6.Alexander Engel
7.Barbara Engel
8.Jacob Engel
