Hi, My ENGEL is from Prussia. Most ENGEL/ENGLE's that I have seen are from Germany, and a few are Swedish (INGALLS). ENGEL and variations of the name seem to mean Angel. If you are researching ENGEL, try the Swedish spelling also. I found ENGEL with the spelling INGALLS in Goodhue Co., MN.
