My great-great grandfather, Wilhelm Engel, came to the US in 1884 from Germany. He was born in 1841 (it says Stellin, Germany on his death certificate, but could be Stettin) and died June 13, 1919 in Chicago, IL. He married Matilda Pastorec in Germany. Matilda was born June 10, 1837 and died Feb. 21, 1916. They had a son Frank Engel Sr., born in Germany on Sept. 20, 1870, who married Alwyne Bentsien, raised in Bloomington, IL. Frank and Alwyne had children: Frank Jr., John, Elsie and Robert and Edwin. The family lived on the south side of Chicago. Frank died Aug. 1938. Would like any information on Wilhelm's parents, siblings, etc. and any other children. I would be glad to share the information I have on Frank's family.
