I just found a second cousin once removed. There has to more of you out there.
It starts with Jacob Engel and Elizabeth Allmann from Germany who settled into Bushwick circa 1880. Children were Mary who married August Schaefer, Jacob who married Augusta Franz, Charles who married Barbara Kaufman and Peter who married Sophie Schaffauer. More family names from the next line include: Schmidt, Dahne, MacAlpine (who moved to Chicago area), Balabanski (cousin found).
Many relatives are buried in Most Holy Trinity Cemetery.
