Andrew Endsley of Ind., S.C. and Scotland(?)
In his book, The Endsley Family in the New World, John Darrel Endsley mentions that he has "a copy of an undated letter--or article--written by Thomas Lee Endsley" in which he "names an Andrew Endsley, who, born in Scotland, married, and following the birth of three children came to South (not North, the reader will please notice) Carolina before the Revolutionary War, then migrated to Indiana when it was still part of the Northwest Territory..."
This supports my recent conclusion that, contrary to all Endsley trees published on the Web, my Endsley family is not only not descended from the infamously elusive Sir John Andrew, but is likely not directly related (at least at that generation) to the Endsleys of Guilford County at all, nor to those of Pennsylvania!
Has anyone ever seen this letter or article and/or know where a copy can be found? Is John Darrell's nephew still active on this message board?
Thanks for any help, clues, etc.
