EMORY Queen Anne's Co., MD 1800s

Sarah Emory Clements, b abt 1799, m Price Merchant DEFORD in 1819 in Queen Anne's (QA) Co, MD. This was either her second marriage (& she would have been a very young widow), or her maiden name was CLEMENTS. Caleb CLEMONS married Rebeccah EMORY in 1752 in QA. Rebeccah was the daughter of John & Ann EMORY. There was a Nathan Emory CLEMENTS, a Revolutionary War soldier, of an earlier generation than Sarah. I donít think that he was Sarahís father, maybe an uncle? Who were Sarah's parents? The name Emory was passed down for generations in the family, but no one seems to have had the name Clements. Maybe the reason is that the EMORYs were a more prominent family?
Albert Emory DEFORD
John Emory DEFORD
