Do you have dates for Amanda Emory? I just found a Shaw Emory family cemetery in Wake County that had a tombstone for Amanda Shaw Emory.
Met a Mr Hugh Shaw today (wife Maude d Nov 2009) who lives in the same assisted living facility as my grandmother, Mary Helen Shaw Hudgins. He told me about a Shaw Cemetery that was near where I live so I went out there today to take pictures of the gravestones. He used to maintain the cemetery so I am assuming it is a family cemetery to him.
Here are the names and dates I got from the tombstones. I believe that Hugh Shaw is related to my grandmother because he has the same story about his ancestors that my great grandfather told my grandmother. I am trying to figure out the exact link between my grandmother, Mary Helen Shaw Hudgins, and Hugh Shaw. I have asked Hugh but it is either his son or his son-in-law that does the genealogy work.
I would appreciate any information I can get on these people in this cemetery.
