Hello Keith,

I have links to the EMMS surname. My GG grandmother was Rosina Jane EMMS who was the daughter of William EMMS and Ann Bridges. William EMMS was a barge builder who lived in the Poplar area.

Rosina EMMS married a Edward CLARK on the 22nd of September 1872 from which they had my Great Grandmother Emma Elizabeth CLARK. If you were to see a photo of Emma you would see that she has a very dark complexion and it has always been a family story that the dark complexion in our family came from New Zealand.

I would be interested to know if you had any ties to William EMMS, I am currently waiting for William and Ann's marriage certificate so that I can get more info on them.
