Edna R. Emmons, 85, longtime Raritan resident

Edna R. Emmons, 85, died Monday (March 19, 2001) at Raritan Health and Extended Care Center in Raritan.
Born in Readington Township, she lived in Whitehouse from 1915 until 1947 and then moved to Bridgewater. She moved to Raritan borough in 1953.
She was employed for Baker and Taylor in Somerville as a jacket selector for eight years before retiring in 1980.
From 1943 until 1972, Miss Emmons was employed as a stater winder for Diehl Manufacturing in Bridgewater.
She was a former member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Whitehouse.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Carl and Roy Emmons, and her sisters, Cora Ekholm and Bessie Emmons.
The funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville. Interment will be at Rural Hill Cemetery in Whitehouse. Visiting hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Cusick Funeral Home, Somerville.
