Hi Elizabeth,

I, too , have been researching the Emley family from Somerset Co NJ (later from Hunterdon Co) and found that the name was misspelled as Emely in some places and also changed to Emery (unknown reason). My grandfather Alonzo Emery was born to William Emley (it was also known as Embley at some point in time according to my mother). I have not found a connection to David but thought I would pass my name changes on to you.
