Hi Sally,

I don't know of any lumber business in the family .. my grandfather was a butcher and they had their own farm just outside Ringoes, Hunterdon Co., NJ (Rocktown). Not sure when they acquired the farm, but our Grandfather had stories he told my mom about the snow storm of 1888 when he was a teenager. We believe he was born in Bridgewater (Township) NJ.
