Did Anders Axel Gustavsen emigrate from Denmark to the United States 1929?

I would be grateful to have some information regarding
Anders Axel Gustavsen, born the 22nd of April 1906 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

His parents were Anders Axel Gustavsen and Kirsten Nielsine, née Hansen.

The family rumor has it that he emigrated to the U.S. in 1929 or at some point hereafter.
(In an old photograph, he is mounted on a horse, wearing a uniform and something that looks like a scout's hat. On the back it says, 'Fox-Tone Print. San Antonio, Texas'. But as we do not know whether this is actually him, it could be any state.)

As I am not familiar with the American archive system, any information will be valued. Thank you.
