After Oliver Cromwell surpressed a rebellion in Ireland, some 30,000 Irish were allowed to emigrate to France. Also many captured Irish were exiled to the West Indies. I think records of these transportees were kept. They kept rcds so if they ever again set foot on Irish or English soil, they would be hanged, drawn and quartered. If they exist, they are in the UK National Archives. Many books have been written about this era. The bibliographies should show the sources.

Again in abt 1691, the defeated Irish Jacobites were given fairly lenient terms. These were promptly violated by the English Parliament. Many ex-soldiers (abt 14,000) left to join European armies, or go to the Americas. I have run across a reference to a book published in the 17th or 18th century which purported to list the names of the troops who fought on both the English and Jacobite side at the Battle of the Boyne and subsequent engagements.
