Have you seen "Genealogical Records of Descendants of John and Anthony Emery, of Newbury, Massachusetts: 1590-1890," compiled by Rev. Rufus Emery? It is available through NEHGS's Circulating Library.

Your posting did not give any dates, but according to pages 366, 367, and 445 of the Emery genealogy above, there was a Philomelia Webber Emery, daughter of Hiram and Rachel (Simpson) Emery, who was born in Sullivan, ME on 22 April 1818. She married Gowen Whitaker on 29 Feb 1844. They lived in Gouldsboro, ME and had three children: George; Hiram E.; and George E. The children listed in the book died before they reached adulthood. Philomelia Webber (Emery) Whitaker died on 15 August 1866.
