Thank you for your response and the valuable information. I am new at this process and have not accessed in detail the censuses. So I would greatly appreciate your posting a summary of the information you mentioned. Also, I would appreciate any information you may have on my great uncles George and Everett Emery. I have the names of various family members that lived in Centereach but am unsure of who was the child of whom and some were suposedly "aunts" from Eastport so anything you have would be helpful. I knew Frederick Augustus and Sarah Ann Emery (my great grandparents) had moved from Eastport to Brooklyn to Centereach but I did not have the dates. So your info really clarifies. Their daughter, Sarah Matilda Emery Hughes, was my grandmother. She had 6 children including my mother Doris and my aunt who is named Louise (born 1922 in Lyndhurst, NJ). So my aunt Louise Hughes (who is still living) would not be the Louise you are looking for but the duplication of names is interesting. I do not know of a Louise Emery but will look for her name in the Emery references I have. I have been in touch with the Brookhaven Town Historian on Long Island who visited the New Village cemetery and found the graves of Frederick Augustus and Sarah Ann Emery and other family members. My online searches had not revealed their names, as you mentioned. Thank you for the internet connections to the cemetery information. My cousins and I plan a visit to Centereach in September. Sorry I am no help in the search for your Louise but I will be alert for any reference to her. Thanks again for your information.
