It's not that we americans are obsessed with "trying" to connect to John or Anthony Emery, it's just that we do. A lot of us would like to trace that line further back than the mid 1500's that we seem stuck at. A lot of fun too, is tracing the branches out. It is apparent that this Emery line could be called virile and well-established. =)
