Ann: My wife is Sandy Emory Moreland (Emery was the original spelling way back but was changed but don't know why). Her great grand father was Azro Emory who came to Crawford Co., Missouri in the 1840's frome Windham, Vermont where he was born 11/18/1819. He was on his way west and came down with an illness and ended uip practicing law here in Missouri. We have no record beyond the Vermont connection. Would he be in any of your information. For your records he first married a Martha Hamilton in 1848 and had 2 children Hannah and Frank Azro. She died in 1855 and he remarried a Terisa Hawkins, June 5, 1856 and they had four children: Henerita, Della, Emma and Henry Evert (My wifes grandfather). I also think Azro was heading out to Cal. to practice law because during his illnes people thought he was going to die and while looking through his belongings for next of kin they found his law books. He recovered and the locals convinced him to settle there in Crawford Co., Missouri and set up his law office. The first lawyer in that county. If you have any knowledge of Azro or know someone who might have please contact me at the above e-mail

Thank you, Bill Moreland
