UPDATE

May have found Carroll D. Capshaw/Emory's wife Maria. Maria Crockett is found on the 1880 Rutherford County census, 18th district, with her children David Emery age 15, which would fit the younger Carrol D. Emery, and a Charles Emery age 5, Gran Crockett age 2 and Monroe Crockett age 4 mos. However, she is listed as Black, could she have been Indian????? John Richard is not listed on the census with her, but he would have too old to have been still at home. If this is her, the first Carroll D. Capshaw/Emory died and she remarried.

Are we having fun yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
