Henry EMERSON ,S21747 ,N.C. Line , soldier was born in 1763 ,soldier lived in Chatham Co.,N.C. at enlistment ,soldier applied 15 May 1833 in Spartanburg District,S.C. & had lived in S.C. for 45 yrs.[c1788] ,soldier mentioned an older brother (not named).
[NOTE: S.C. Pension Office: Henry Emerson - Private - placed on roll Aug. 27, 1833 - payments to death - DIED: March 03, 1847. [service in N.C. Cont'l. Line & listed on 1840 Spartanburg Co.,S.C. Census ,page 152 aged 78 (c1762)]

Henry EMERSON / EMMERSON ,Nancy ,W4949 ,VA. Line ,soldier was born 07 December 1758 ,soldier enlisted in Caroline Co.,VA. ,soldier applied 25 February 1822 Mecklenburg Co.,N.C. ,soldier married Nancy NEEL or NEAL 10 January 1781 in Warren Co.,N.C. & she was born 10 or 18 October 1756 & was raised in Warren Co.,N.C. ,soldier died 05 September 1842 ,widow applied 24 May 1843 Mecklenburg Co.,N.C. ,no children were mentioned.

War soldier lived in Caroline Co.,VA. & in 1788 moved to Fayette Co.,KY.

Line also War of 1812 Service ,soldier applied 28 April 1818 Greene Co.,KY. aged 67 yrs.[c1751] & in 1818 soldier was an attorney & had been a Rep. in the State Legislature for many yrs. ,soldier married Catharine ______________ 17 April 1777 in Westmoreland Co.,PA. & she was 17 the day they were married ,soldier died 17 February 1836 in Burksville in Cumberland Co.,KY. & widow applied there 18 August 1837 ,thier eldest child was Mrs. Ann ASTON who aged 58 in 1837 a resident of Burksville KY. & she stated her younger brothers & sisters were; Francis ,Catharine ,John Milton ,Nancy Perry ,Thomas Mansfield ,Martha Gilman ,Samuel Burks ,Hiram Sharon ,Washington Green ,Muhlenburg ,Fayette & Burr Hamilton EMERSON ,in 1818 Hiram S. EMERSON was a Deputy Clerk of Greene Co.,KY. & in 1830 a John M. EMERSON was a J.P. of Cumberland Co.,KY. ,in 1822 a son-in-law Lott PHILLIPS was mentioned ,in 1837 widow's sister Jane BEARD was aged 74 a res. of Knox Co.,IN. ,in 1860 one William ESTON of Burksville KY. stated he was of the family of Mrs. Ann ASTON.
