I have seen pictures of the sea chest. All a person would have to do is found an old sea chest from that time period and take a picture of it. That does not prove that the person of John Nichalos Emerick ever lived or owned that chest. People file law suits all the time believeing they have a case. People settle lawsuits all the time and pay money just to get rid of the problem and to save the expensive of a lawsuit. If the Astor's were going to settle that doesn't "prove" that they believed the Emerick's had a case, only that they wanted the whole thing overwith. It has nothing to do with the truth.
