Emeigh in Cambria Co. was named for a John Emigh, founder of the village.

The will of Christian Emigh, Tyrone Twp. Huntington Co. dated 29 Aug 1809 lists his children: Charles, John?, Christian, Willamena (married to Peter Pool), Christina, m. Fisher, Elizabeth, m. Abraham Law, Peter, Catherine m. Jacob Stiffey?, Peggy, m. Abraham Crane, and Sophia (Sofiah)m. Fisher. Original will was written in Dutch, probably/posssibly written by Peter Pool. No mention of wife. The transcription of the will appears to have changed the spelling of the names from Emigh to Emeigh....
