Ginny, Concerning your e-mail, which I received on possible sighting of Addison S Embrey. This could be him, although I am not absolutely certain, as I may have some info on him in the census of 1900, which, to me, seems somewhat vague. I have 3 possibles, and leaves me a little puzzled on his rightful birth. 1. This says his DOB was 10 June, 1835, Fauquier, Va., and the Son of: Fielding Embrey & Mary Ann Brown. 2. This record gives his DOB as 1839, born & living in Culpeper, Va. Now, your info seems to coincide with some of the info I have, but, one..............shows his DOB as June of '1845'!, however, his wife is shown as Harriet E., which is where the E for Elizabeth could come in. So, as you see, I have 3 possibles for Addison and his birth, and yours does have the same DOB as one, and the E for Elizabeth could be a distinct possibility. I mean, how many different possibilities could there be, for the Culpeper, Va., area, for Addison S Embrey? I feel though, that you may be on to something, as I have a pretty good feeling about what you possess. I would be very interested in his siblings and all the other information that you have, as this could very well lead to the man who could be my g.g.grandfather. I want you to know that I greatly appreciate the answer to my query about Addison, as his life's info has been scarce and difficult to find, especially from afar, as I live in the State of Washington, although I did grow up in the Northern Va.area, and I am glad that you took the time to contact me concerning this. How would you like to go about transferring this info to me? E-mail? Mailing address? Whatever suits you and what you may feel comfortable in doing. This seems to me, like you may have provided some very valuable information concerning Addison, and again, I deeply appreciate what you have done. Notify Administrator about this message?
