William Emler, Franky Sears, John Byrns, Catherine Imbler

I have been researching the parentage of John Byrns and Catherine Imbler of Randolph County NC (Married c 1800) and it is clear that they were both orignially from Rowan County NC.

I have seen a few of you here and elsewhere looking for the parentage of William Embler (jr) and Franky Sears who were married in Rowan Co NC in 1794. I stumbled across the following interesting reference in old Rowan County Vacant Land Entry Deeds (I failed to note the date, but it was like 1780-1785 time period):

To Philip Harmon 200 Acres on Uary [Uwharrie] River adjacent to Christian Sears and William Emler.

also this:

To Edward Harris 50 Acres on Uara [Uwharrie] River between William Emler and John Seers.

I can only think that Franky Sears was a daughter of either Christian or John Sears/Seers and that she was married off to one of neighboring Mr. Emler's sons.

The same thing appears to be at work in the John Byrns and Catherine Imbler situation:

5 Aug 1778 To John Shireman 500 Acres on Hanby's Creek adjoining William Emler and Charles Byrns.

It seems likely that Catherine Imbler was one of William Emler's daughters and that John Byrns was one of Charles Byrns' sons.

Apparently there is also an old will in Rowan County for Charles Byrn (Book D page 128). Has anyone seen this will?
