Researching for my niece in law this line - cannot find parents for Ruthie/Aretha/Euretha (all used in census records i have accessed) who was the second wife of Harmon Clarence Emberton - if you check the 1900 census you will find her with him - two older children from previous marriage and children from their marriage which too place about 1893. Would love to find her parents - there are girls of that age with Belcher surname in 1880 census but because of the creativity of the name I haven't been able to narrow it down.Only daughter in 1880 census that is close in age in KY is a Permela A. Belcher daughter of John and Prudence Belcher living in Bush, Monroe Co. KY. She has siblings Sarah E, James, Mary A. Nancy E. and undeciferable ????lene girl age 4. His parents born in VA and her father in Alabama - mother looks like either WVA or Ala. Because of the name Permela is it possible a woman born in 1794 living in Monroe Co in 1870 is her grandmother. Another possiblity is an Armeda Belcher with parents H. Wilson and Sarah and siblings in Mining city Butler, KY In Brush Monroe Co is a family with both a Permela b. 1864 and a Malinda b. 1870 either of which might be this woman. Hopkins 68 born in VA (also his parents) and Elizabeth 47 born in KY as are her parents with Harrison 18, Permela 16, Melvina 14, Mosses 12, Franklin 11, Malinad 10 and Bebe 8. Because they are in Brush, Monroe county this might be the best fit. Any idea which is right? Thanks
