I have Richard R. Emberton b. 1792 in Washington Co., Tennessee. As a young man in his teens he moved to Barren Co., Ky with his mother (Susannah Coulter), three brothers, John Emberton, Thomas Emberton and Walter W. Emberton and sister Mary Martha Emberton. On 16 January 1812 Richard R. was married to Sally (Ally) Waldrick. Later that year he enlisted in the army at Glasgow, KY. He was called to active duty in Nov. 1813, and was assigned to Captain Caleb Holder's Company in the 17th Regiment, U.S. Infantry. He served 18 Months and was Honorably discharged at Detroit Michigan on 10 May 1815. He was 22 years old. Physical Description: 5ft 5 1/2 inches tall, light hait, blue eyes and fair complexion.
