GLYNN EMBERLING
Funeral services for GLYNN EMBERLING, 86, formerly of Checotah, were held on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brush Hill Baptist Church with Rev. GARY MCKEEN officiating. Interment followed in the Pierce Cemetery.

Glynn was born on January 14, 1922 in Healdton to JAMES WESLEY and EMMERLINE STEWART EMBERLING / EMBERLIN. He passed from this life on Sunday, April 20, 2008 in Norman Regional Hospital.

He worked as a self-employed plumber and had worked for over 17 years with the McIntosh County Rural Water District No. 9. Glynn was a member of the Brush Hill Baptist Church and loved to fish.

Glynn was preceded in death by his parents; a brother GARVIN EMBERLING, and his wife JACKIE UNDERWOOD EMBERLING who passed in September 2004.

Survivors include his son, GARY EMBERLING of Plano; a daughter DIANA CANARY of Tuttle; a sister VONCILLE SHIPLEY of Elmore City; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.

Mr. Emberling’s family has asked in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Brush Hill Baptist Church. Arrangements were under the direction of the Hampton Mortuary in Checotah.
