Hi, Ryan. Looks like we're distant relatives since Shadrack Manuel was my g-g-g-grandfather. Information passed to me from another distant relative (Roy Maynor, who places many postings on this website and whom I met back in 2002) shows my line as follows:

Shadrack Manuel (son of Nicholas and Millie Hale) m. Dicy Hardin and then her sister Zilpha Hardin (not certain which one was mother to Bashaba)
+ Bashaba Manuel m. Raeford Brewington (Sampson Cty, NC)
++ Polly Ann Brewington m. John R. Jacobs (Sampson Cty) +++ Luvenia Jacobs m. Ira Cox (Sampson County)
++++ Marjorie Cox m. Ivan McRae (NYC)
+++++ Brian McRae (me)

Also, if you don't mind me asking, do you consider your Manuel/Emanuel line as Indian descent such as Coharie?

- Brian McRae
