My John Ellzey in Fairfax or Loudoun County, VA was born about 1745, based on the age of his son Lewis. He moved to South Carolina with most of his family between 1796 and 1800 where he shows up on the SC census. I have found nothing definitive on him in Virginia except for the will of his father in law, Abraham Lay.
