Joshua Ely Jr. is the father of Abner. I list his birthdate as 16 Apr 1730, death 11 Mar 1805.
Anyway, I live in Texas but will be in Solebury/New Hope this July for the Ely reunion. One of the questions I have for them is which Ely built the Ely House (which is still there).
Another question that is asked here on this board will also be asked, and that is: Do you pronounce it Ee-lee or Ee-lie.
I'm researching the Ely line of my family at this time and will also be visiting approximately 250-280 graves and photographing markers etc.
I should be able to answer many more questions pertaining to the Ely family upon my return in August, should you or anyone else care to post questions at that time.
